Today was my first day with a new company. I am happy to report that I am the newest addition to the team at Candace Crowe Design, here in Orlando.
So far so good. I think it will be a good fit. It’s a fairly small, close knit team of talented individuals. Everyone was quite welcoming. Since Rene and I have been focusing on freelance work the last several months, I almost forogt what it was like to be apart of a group/company. I guess I’ll have a bit of readjustment! I will say, however, that they made me feel appreciated and that certainly made the day.
It looks like I’ll be doing a good variety of work, from xhtml/css to php and a hefty amount of Flash development (which if I’m being honest, I’ve not put as much focus into, recently, as I would have liked). For now, it’s time to watch some Heroes, perhaps more reports will follow.

So I spent a bit of time this afternoon updating and styling my VIRB.com profile. I’d like to do something a bit more exciting, but for now I thought I’d keep it consistent with the bryan-miller.com layout.
Tell me what you think.

I want to take a moment to give a quick shout out to CSS Snap for including my web portfolio in their “Best CSS Web Gallery”.
So, if you have a moment, pop on over and give my site a vote!

I wouldn’t go so far as to say that I am the next Emeril or even that I deserve a little food network face time. However, I have been dabbling in the “cooking arts” as of late. I have always enjoyed cooking and I tend to go through phases of kitchen experimentation.
This latest inspiration began in the form of breakfast foods, namely omlettes. One morning I decided I was in the mood for something different and I began adding various spices to my eggs. The outcome was well received by Aisha, so over the next weeks I began modifying and adding new items. You know, various veggies, spices, and such.
Since then, I have made such meals as fettucini alfredo, homemade tomato sauce, and homemade pizzas. This may not sound like much, but for a person that has spent far too much of his eating, the past several years, getting takeout, this has been quite an accomplishment.
In honor of my cooking fun, I have uploaded a few snapshots to my flickr account. Bon appetit!

I’d like to take a moment to congratulate Rene and Andrea on their recent engagement. Last night was their engagement party. I uploaded a few photos to my flickr account. So, go check them out.
Speaking of flickr, I finally upgraded to a pro account, so get ready for a photo overload!
